Flooring Box Calculator questions
How much extra flooring should I buy?
Use 10 percent for simple straight layouts and 15 to 20 percent for diagonal, herringbone, or many angled cuts.
Why round up to full boxes?
Flooring is sold by the box. Rounding down can leave you short near the end of the install.
Should I keep leftover flooring?
Keep a small amount for future repairs because flooring colors and patterns can be discontinued.
