Tile, Thinset, and Grout Starter List

Tile count gets you started, but thinset, grout, spacers, trim, and waterproofing can decide whether the job is actually ready.

Tile boxes cover area, while thinset and grout bags list coverage by tile size, trowel size, joint width, and substrate. Always check the product label before buying.

Add spacers, layout wedges, edge trim, a mixing bucket, sponge, and sealer if the tile or grout requires it.

For wet areas, waterproofing is not optional planning detail. A simple dry-floor estimate should not be reused as a shower build plan.
