Concrete Bags vs Ready-Mix

Small pads can make sense with bags. Larger pours usually become a time, labor, and delivery decision.

An 80 lb concrete bag yields about 0.6 cubic feet. That means one cubic yard takes roughly 45 bags before waste.

For a small fence post or repair, bags are convenient. Around one cubic yard, ready-mix often becomes more practical even before you count the physical work.

Ask suppliers about minimum load fees, delivery windows, strength mix, and whether access to the pour area is easy.
